This Indigo comfort stretch denim has the slightest bit of stretch so it can be used in patterns calling for non-stretch denim. The touch of spandex adds just that little bit of comfort to your garment but is not overly stretchy and is not suitable for patterns calling for super stretchy fabric.
If you are not familiar with the term, deadstock refers to unused, leftover textiles from a previous production run, such as surplus fabric from a fashion brand or an unsold batch from a mill. These materials are often perfectly usable but are considered excess and would otherwise be discarded or sent to a landfill.
We have been on a pants sewing kick lately, just in time for the cooler weather. Some recent favorite patterns are the Just My Luck Jeans, Brier Pant, Isle Jeans, Ash Jeans, Falconer Pants, and Pinyon Pants. If you are inspired to give any of these a go, don't forget we can print your PDF pattern and include it in your fabric order!
*This fabric contains Indigo. Indigo is special. It gives each product made from this fabric a one of a kind appearance that only gets better over time. Please use and wear with care. Indigo may rub off onto fabrics, leather and upholstery. We recommend washing alone first, to make sure any residual indigo dye is washed out*
To prevent 'whiskers' we recommend soaking the fabric in warm water with a splash of white vinegar until fully saturated (about 30 minutes) then washing alone in your machine.
