'Tis the season... for gift knitting at EWE! We've put together a collection of quick knits that would make great gifts — you can see the full list on Ravelry or you can browse our favorites with yarn suggestions here.

Don't know how to knit but know someone who does? Our 2018 Gifts for Makers Guide is here.

How about the softest, squishiest hat ever?

This Tamitik hat by Shannon Cook is a super speedy knit in bulky weight yarn. We used Quince & Co. Ibis, a merino-mohair blend yarn that has a luxurious hand and a lovely sheen.

Another great quick hat pattern that would be beautiful in Ibis is the Slip-Stitch Cap from Mason Dixon Knitting Field No. 8. If you've got time for a worsted weight hat, we also love Alaska by Linsay Cocker and Quill by Andrea Mowry. Stop by the shop anytime for yarn suggestions!

Or maybe a cozy cowl in a classic color?

The Purl Soho Bandana Cowl is a classic knit in one skein of Quince & Co. Osprey (or it would be beautiful in Stone Wool Corriedale, for a little something extra!).

If you want the option of multiple colors, we also love Gray Street or the Cobbles Cowl, both by Elizabeth Smith. These bulky cowls would be scrumptious in Quince & Co. Ibis, or rustic and classic in Brooklyn Tweed Quarry.

Hand-knit house slippers are just the thing!

Andrea Mowry's marled Farm Slippers are a sure-to-please gift for the whole family — the pattern includes sizes for toddlers through adult large. We would love to see these in the new Quince & Co. heathered organic Chickadee!

Not sold on the idea of knits for feet? We love the Woodstack Mittens by Jane Richmond or the Appleseed Mitts from Mason Dixon Knitting Field No. 8. We have the field guides in the shop and we'd be happy to help you find just the right yarn.

    Happy knitting to all!
