Description:

Pure silk mohair is made from an exclusive blend of 72% superkid mohair and 28% silk. This gives a luxurious yarn that is soft, supple and light. It can be knitted alone with one or more threads or together with Un-told Supreme Wool.

The mohair fibers come from South Africa, where the yarn is also produced locally. The mohair is traceable, which means that our producer has an overview of which farms the mohair comes from. The yarn is produced under ethical and environmentally correct conditions, which means that the production leaves as little of a climate footprint as possible.

Weight: 25g / 246yds / 225m
Gauge: 28 sts = 4 inches
Needle Size: US 1.5 - 2.5 or 2.5 - 3mm

Care Instructions:

Fill a sink or basin with warm water and submerge the fabric in water, gently squeezing out any air bubbles so that the piece can remain under water without being held there. Soak work for 20-30 minutes, allowing fabric to become completely saturated. Remove excess moisture by rolling your fabric between clean, dry towels with light pressure. Lay fabric flat and shape to air dry.

Un-told is a newly started Norwegian company specializing in yarn, knitting patterns, and knitting-related products. The company was started by knitting designers Pia (formerly GSknitwear) and Marte (formerly Claraknitwear). Un-told is based in Trondheim city center where they have a showroom.
