A unique handcrafted Kala cotton in charcoal grey with a white ditsy stripe woven through using extra weft technique. Extra weft is where additional weft yarns in contrasting colours, are woven through to create a motif. This yarn is woven in selvedge to selvedge and is interlaced with the structural yarns.
Kala cotton is a purely rain fed cotton indigenous to the kachchh region of India. It is grown in a sustainable way due to the resilient nature of the plant, the use of pesticides or synthetic fertilizers are not needed. It forms a strong and coarse fibre that produces a uniquely textured cloth.
We cut in 1/4 yard increments. The amount available refers to how many quarter yard increments we have in stock.
To choose the amount you want enter the number of quarter yard increments you need (rest assured we will cut your cloth in one piece). Example: If you would like 2.5 yards, enter "10" in the box.
For help converting your yardage requirements to quarter yard increments, use our handy chart.
*We do our best to photograph all our products accurately. We take the photos in our shop using natural light. Further variation can be caused by color differences on your screen and the actual color may be very different. If you have any questions please contact the shop.
