Karla is a soft and comfortable quilted fabric with a timeless quilting pattern and a beautiful melange effect. Karla Quilt is designed with both comfort and warmth in mind. It is very lightly padded and not stiff at all. Garments made with Karla are cozy, warm and will not restrict movement at all. If you want more structure you can add a layer of lining to your project.
Karla Quilt is made of pure cotton on both sides with filling of polyester, which combines softness, durability, and flexibility for comfortable everyday wear. The quilted construction gives the fabric gentle volume and warmth while still feeling lightweight and not bulky to sew.
We do recommend using a quilting foot when sewing this fabric and finishing your cut edges with a serger or stay stitching to keep the batting tidy while sewing.
Karla is a versatile quilt fabric which is great for layering pieces and transitional garments like the Syd Graham Ruby Vest or the Zoe Half Zip by Michelle Design Co.
We cut in 1/4 yard increments. The amount available refers to how many quarter yard increments we have in stock.
To choose the amount you want enter the number of quarter yard increments you need (rest assured we will cut your cloth in one piece). Example: If you would like 2.5 yards, enter "10" in the box.
For help converting your yardage requirements to quarter yard increments, use our handy chart.
*We do our best to photograph all our products accurately. We take the photos in our shop using natural light. Further variation can be caused by color differences on your screen and the actual color may be very different. If you have any questions please contact the shop.
