Named after the Uruguayan term for the Polwarth sheep, Ideal(pronounced ee-day-AL) is a worsted weight yarn crafted from 100% Uruguayan Polwarth wool.

The natural attributes of Uruguay’s landscape and the dedication of our breeders have produced a yarn that marries durability and resilience with the unparalleled warmth and comfort on the skin characteristic of Polwarth wool.

Ideal is a 4 ply, worsted weight, non-superwash yarn that is sourced, spun, and hand-dyed in Uruguay.

Vibrant, bright, and perfect for matching and colorwork, these semi-solid hues and the amazing qualities of the base will bring endless creative possibilities!

Care Instructions:

Hand-wash in cool water, lay flat to dry.

Our favorite method for washing all hand knits! Fill a sink or basin with cool water and submerge the fabric in water, gently squeezing out any air bubbles so that the piece can remain under water without being held there. Soak work for 20-30 minutes, allowing fabric to become completely saturated. Remove excess moisture by rolling your fabric between clean, dry towels with light pressure. Lay fabric flat and shape to air dry.
