Vale is a springy 2-ply laceweight yarn made from American Rambouillet wool. This naturally soft and bouncy fleece is worsted spun for a durable, elastic yarn with an even thickness and twist, suitable for whisper-light accessories and heirloom-quality lace projects. Vale is skein-dyed in 14 sophisticated shades, sharing a few touchstone colors with our Arbor and Peerie yarns.

RAMBOUILLET WOOL CHARACTERISTICSRambouillet sheep produce a finewool that is as soft as its Merino first cousins’, but trades luster for an extra sprinkling of warmth and resilience. Rambouillet fiber is also loftier and bouncier than Merino, and we prepare and spin it worsted for Vale, a soft and springy yarn that yields delicate, feather-light accessories.
