*Please, note that that the Pomona Pants PDF pattern is a separate purchase from Anna Allen Clothing. Our bundle includes the option to print a large format "copyshop" version of the pattern. You will need to purchase the pattern from Anna Allen Clothing to get all of the files, including the sewing instructions, and upload the A0_copyshop file for us to print your pattern and include it in your bundle.

The Pomona Pants are super easy to sew and comfortable to wear everyday. This is definitely a beginner pant pattern. All of us at EWE, and lots of our customers have sewn many pairs!
The pattern, from Anna Allen Patterns, features no side seam so you cut the front and back leg in one piece. The waistband is constructed by simply folding the top of the pant down to form a casing (no bulky seams). There is a patch pocket pattern piece included but you can add other pocket shapes, or not, depending upon your preference.
For the warmer months a linen pair of comfy pull-on pants is a must (in our opinion) and the Pomona Pants fit the bill perfectly. We can't say enough about how much we love the Cairo Linen these pants are sewn in. It is a great medium weight linen with a washed finish.
Jessamy is wearing the wide leg version, size 2 in the color 'Oatmeal". Her measurements put her in a size 4 but she chose to sew down a size. Jessamy is 5'1" and shortened the leg by 1.5".
Deren is wearing a wide leg, size 6 pant in the color Avocado (avocado is now discontinued, but Jungle is comparable). She is 5'1" tall and shortened the legs by 4". When these pants were made her measurements were waist 30" and hip 37".
Deren is also wearing a wide leg, size 8 pant, in the color 'Nutmeg'. She is 5'1" and shortened the leg length by 3.5". When these pants were made Deren's waist measurement put her between a size 10 and 12 but her hip measurement is a bit smaller than the size 8. Given the full elastic waist she cut a straight size 8 and added a few inches to her elastic length for a comfortable fit. The Nutmeg color has been discontinued and replaced with Pale Pink.
Jessamy added cargo patch pockets to the front of her pants (she used the pattern piece from her Lander pants pattern to cut the shape and then sewed them on as patch pockets) and she used the included square pocket piece to add two pockets on the backside. Deren has one front pocket on her Avocado pants and one patch pocket on the backside of her Nutmeg/Pink version.
