My Spring Sweater

Regular price $40.00 Sale

Description: Have you been wanting to knit a sweater or tried, but not been happy with the results? In the My Spring Cardigan class we will knit a sweater together. In this class you choose a pattern, from either the class patterns or a pattern you have. Ideally, you will be knitting with a DK or sport weight yarn. The selected class patterns are all knit seamlessly from the top down. There are 2 cardigans and 2 pullover patterns to consider. For the most part, DK And sport weight are fairly interchangeable so either weight yarn should work for these sweaters. All of the pattern details are on Ravelry so you can look them over and see yardage requirements.

Date: This is a 4 session in person class combined with an online private Ravelry group.

Xstatic is worked seamlessly from the top down using the contiguous set-in-sleeves method. The length and width of the yoke are easily adjustable by adding/ reducing increases, or adding/ reducing underarm stitches

Friday anew is a simple but elegant sweater using the contiguous set-in sleeve method.

Despite the (fake) seams it is worked top down from the start of the collar to the bottom edge in one piece.

Machiasport Cardigan is a simple layering piece with raglan armhole shaping and a sweet lace detail at the back and sleeve cuffs. (*This pattern is part of an e-book collection but totally worth the price as the other patterns are also great.)

Campside Cardi is an open front cardigan with raglan armhole shaping and lace detailing

*Students will get a 15% discount on all materials purchased for the class (including patterns).

Participants should buy the yarn and pattern before the first day of class, then knit and block a gauge swatch (at least 5" x 5"). Everyone should come to class with their blocked swatch. During the first class we will go over the patterns, discuss design details, how to choose the right size, accurately calculate gauge and make any adjustments for gauge.

*When selecting a size it is necessary to know your full bust and high bust measurements.

If you have any questions about the homework, you can email, call or come visit us in the shop. If you want help choosing a pattern and yarn, just stop by and we will help you sort though the options.
