Knit 101: Saturday September 16 & 23
Description: This is a two-part class. You will learn everything you need to know to get started on your knitting journey. If you have never picked up needles, or if it has been a while and you just need a refresher, this class is for you. In class you will learn how to cast-on, knit and purl, bind off and weave in ends. We will be knitting a lovely scarf pattern from the book knit first stitch/first scarf.
Date: This is a 2 session class.

What You'll Learn:
- Cast on
- Knit stitch

- How to read a basic pattern
Materials: *included with class registration ($50 retail value)
- Book: knit first stitch/first scarf
- 2 skeins of Osprey yarn from Quince & Co.
- US 10 Birchwood knitting needles
- Cotton project bag
Instructor: Deren Bader
Deren is an avid knitter and natural dyer. She loves working with rustic yarns and usually has a least 5 different projects on needles at any given time. She is excited about sharing her love of knitting with new knitters.
Please contact us at least 48 hours before class start time if you can. In most cases we can issue a refund, but depending upon the circumstances store credit may given. Classes with fewer than two students may be canceled or rescheduled. Most of our classes are for adults only, unless otherwise indicated.
