This class will take place at our shop, EWE Fibers, in Charlottesville, Virginia. The class is not available online. While this class is free, please only sign up if you can commit to attending! If you are not sure, consider leaving the space for someone else.
In this workshop we will unlock the mystery of short rows. Knitted short rows are commonly used to do shaping in knitwear. In this class you will learn 2 methods for short row shaping, 'wrap & turn, and German short row techniques.
Prior to class, you should knit 2 swatches using a light colored worsted or bulky weight yarn. For each swatch, cast on 24 stitches and knit back and forth in stockinette stitch for about 3 inches ending on a purl side row. Do not bind off and bring the swatches with you. You will practice short row shaping on your swatches.
Please familiarize yourself with our class policies before enrolling.
