Classes & Events

At EWE we love nothing more than a shop full of nimble hands happily working on some fiber project. To that end, we aim to offer a variety of gathering opportunities with everyone in mind. Each offering is a bit different so depending on what you are looking for, here are some descriptions:

Knitting classes:

We offer a variety of project-focused classes with limited enrollment so you are sure to get the attention you need. Classes are perfect if you want to learn a specific new skill or improve an old one. We are always adding new offerings, so check out the class listings today and reserve your spot.

Sewing & fabric classes:

We are just beginning to offer sewing and speciality fabric classes. Stay tuned for new listings in Fall 2018!

General knitting series:

The general knitting series is a limited-enrollment class offered in 4-week sessions. Come with whatever you are working on for general assistance or enlist our help in selecting the right yarn, needles, and pattern for the dream project you have in your head! Reserve your spot in the upcoming session here.

Drop-in knitting help:

We offer a $10 drop-in class for knitting help every Thursday from 11AM–1PM. Come on by to get guidance on a project or have your specific questions answered.

EWE School:

EWE School is a free ongoing series of short workshops. The series topics repeat every few months and happen on Saturday mornings. Check out upcoming topics here.

Makers circle:

Makers Circle is our weekly gathering, where anything goes. Bring whatever you are working on (any hand work, not just knitting). We sit, talk and hopefully get something accomplished! You should feel comfortable with your project and not plan on getting a lot of help (although you will find a lot of expertise around the table).

KALs (Knit-alongs):

Monday has become our  KAL night. There is not cost to participate in a KAL other than the purchase of your yarn. We choose KAL projects based on the season, selecting designs that are new and trending in the knitting community.

Weaving classes:

Our weaving classes are taught by weaving and textile-design expert Andrea Korotky. You can visit her studio website here, and you can see upcoming weaving classes here.
