This 2 session in-person class. When signing up for this class your are registering for both dates. The cost for the class is $80 including materials.
Tired of knitting flat and seaming? In this class you will learn everything you need to know to knit a hat seamlessly in the round. A hat is the perfect project to practice new techniques like ribbing and decreasing. Once you learn the techniques you will be able to knit this hat, or any other hat, for everyone you know!
Pam is a prolific knitter and our go-to trouble shooter. We are always amazed by her beautiful sweaters and shawls. Pam frequently test knits for many independent knitwear designers. She is excited to share her knitting knowledge
Skills needed:
- comfortable with the knit stitch
- familiar with the purl stitch
- cast on
- basic bind off
What you'll learn:
- how to read a pattern
- rib stitch
- knitting in the round for large and small circumferences
- decreasing
- tips to fix mistakes
Materials: *
The class fee includes all of the supplies including;
- one skein of 100% wool, chunky weight (students will select their yarn on class day)
- size US 11 16" circular knitting needles
- tapestry needle
*Students receive 10% off any supplies purchased for or on a class day.
Preparation required:
In order to get the most out of this class, students must be prepared to do some knitting at home between sessions.
