Field Guide No. 3: Wild Yarns celebrates the individuality and artistry of hand-dyed and multicolor skeins, and demonstrates how to show them off in projects that are fun to knit and lovely to wear.
Mason-Dixon Knitting Field Guide No. 2 is all about easy entry into the world of colorwork, with four projects that come together fast.
Mason-Dixon Knitting Field Guide No. 1 is all about the stripes: a trio of patterns that play with the way a single line of color can transform a project.
Currently, I am a bit obsessed with the Easel Sweater pattern (Field Guide No. 3). I love the way it combines a skein of crazy colorful yarn with more tame tonal hand-dyed loveliness. I think I am going to cast-on, but I can't seem to decide on a color combination. I want to use the Cormo sport weight from Elemental Affects and pair it with Dyed in the Wool from Spincycle. I will let you know which color combination I choose.
I have some lovely hand-dyed speckled yarn from the shepherdess at Valhalla Farm, Summer Kiser. These are perfect for the Colorwash Scarf (Field Guide No. 3) or get in on the Fade craze with Find Your Fade shawl or Faded sweater.
